Jake Jacobs specializes in folk and Celtic instrumental music, performing as a solo musical artist. His beautiful brand of purely instrumental folk music is very easy to listen to. He performs traditional tunes that have been played throughout many generations. Performing since 1997, Jake is unique because he plays several different musical instruments. He has two different Celtic Christmas albums, and he also offers USB flash drives that contain all his albums.Jake helped form the Bermuda Folk Club, performed on two albums with the folk group Cornucopia in Maryland, and has been playing folk music ever since. He performed with Holly Williams for two years in Colorado, where they produced their first Celtic album "Tried and True." When Sandy Reay joined them, they formed the group SkyeLark and released their old-time album "Dancing Down the Moon," a Celtic Christmas album "Turning of the Year," and their "Celtic Gold" album.The group doesn't play together anymore, but Jake continues to play fantastic Celtic music. An album called "Purple Heather" was released with Holly playing hammered dulcimer and Jake playing cittern, guitar, and bass. The "Celtic Isles" features Jake playing hammered dulcimer, cittern, mandolin, and guitar. The album also includes guest artists on hammered dulcimer and Irish flute. Jake also performs cittern, Bohdan, guitar, and hammered dulcimer music on the "Celtic Winter” album.
